Early Reading First Grants:
Alignment and Support

Robert-Leslie Publishing, developer of The InvestiGator Club® Prekindergarten Learning System, offers an innovative and engaging program that aligns with and supports the goals of Early Reading First; Head Start Child Outcomes; state standards; National Association for the Education of Young Children, International Reading Association, and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics joint position statements; as well as National Science Education Standards.

The InvestiGator Club is a comprehensive program based on research that directly reflects the 2009 National Early Literacy Report. The guiding framework is based on “evidence-based practices” which are described as “the adoption of interventions and practices that are informed by research” (Dunst, Trivette, and Cutspec, 2002). Evidence-based practices are specific ways to put into action those approaches that scientific studies have shown to be most effective.

National Reading Achievement Goals Inform Early Literacy Instruction

The much anticipated National Early Literacy Panel (NELP) report Developing Early Literacy identifies research-based literacy best practices, provides clues for unlocking life-long learning, and underscores the need for translational research to address the gap in our nation's understanding of literacy.

The InvestiGator Club Visits the Children's Medical Center Dallas

With thousands of young investigators transforming pre-K classrooms into educational explorations nationwide, the Children’s Medical Center Dallas recently grabbed their magnifying glasses and notebooks and became the newest members of The InvestiGator Club!

Judith Coffey, owner and CEO of Robert-Leslie Publishing, The Early Childhood Company™, teamed up with Beth Alley Wise, co-author of The InvestiGator Club™ Prekindergarten Learning System, to personally wish the Children’s Medical Center Dallas a bright and happy holiday season with the donation of a complete learning system and Adaptive Learning Kit. Children staying at the hospital were invited to learn, play games, and sing along with Judi, Beth, and the charming InvestiGator Club characters.

Wishing For a Bright New Year

Robert-Leslie Publishing and The InvestiGator Club also hosted a wishing well at the 2008 National Association for the Education of Young Children Annual Conference in Dallas on November 5–8. Visitors had the opportunity to write holiday wishes to the children of the Children’s Medical Center Dallas. They dropped their wishes into the wishing well to win free learning products for themselves as well as for the medical center. Robert-Leslie Publishing personally delivered the wishes to the children.
